Peasant Life:

Peasants lived in small villages, working the land for both subsistence and taxes. Their lives were hard and taxed heavily, but they held a respected position due to their role in food production.

Women in Feudal Japan:

Women’s roles varied by class. Samurai women were trained in basic self-defense and managed household affairs. Peasant women worked alongside men in the fields. However, their legal rights were limited.
